FANCOURT - THE LINKS

THE COURSE

Created from a previously flat piece of land, over 700 000 cubic metres of earth was moved in transforming The Links at Fancourt from an airstrip into a typical Links style course. The course presents undulating windswept terrain and dune-style landscape - The result being an awe-inspiring course eliciting praise from some of the world’s finest golfers. Every hole has attention to detail ensuring overall balance in terms of length, position of hazards and shot values are in harmony. As a result, The Links presents a stern test in all weather conditions and bound to test the best golfer in every way. One of the extraordinary holes include the par-3 second, with its bunker in the heart of the enormous green. The Links at Fancourt is a private club, with play restricted to members and their invited guests. There are limited times available to guests staying at Fancourt’s hotel making bookings essential.

FACILITIES
A round at The Links is a special experience, enhanced by the expert caddies at the club. These caddies are among the best in the world and are sure to assist any standard of golfer negotiate his or her way around The Links. The clubhouse at The Links is located only meters from the 18th green, with terraced areas and picture windows, to take maximum advantage of course and mountain views. FANCOURT - MONTAGU COURSE

THE COURSE 

The Fancourt Montagu course took shape under Master Golfer – Gary Player. A major rejuvenation has recently been completed at the Montagu with several holes redesigned and two completely new holes - the 1st and the 9th. These changes have made the course an even more rewarding experience, around 350m longer and thus creating a greater challenge. Although the course will play tougher, a set of five tee boxes has been introduced so that each golfer can decide at what level of toughness to play. The Fancourt Montagu is considered one of the best conditioned golf courses in South Africa and has been ranked as the top course in South Africa a few times. Play is restricted to members, their guests and resort guests, so there is ample time and space to savour the Fancourt golfing experience.

This majestic 18-hole Parkland layout at Fancourt was designed by legendary Grand Slam golfer Gary Player.  The Outeniqua course is similar to its sibling course The Montagu in terms of character, its challenging design and fine conditioning which will ensure an excellent test for all levels of golfers. As with all courses at Fancourt, there are a variety of tees from which to choose to play, ensuring that golfers are unlikely to ever feel overpowered by the course.Play is restricted to members, their guests and resort guests, so there is ample time and space to savour the Fancourt golfing experience.

PINNACLE POINT GOLF CLUB

THE COURSE

The emerald green fairways and tees of this Cliff top Fynbos Golf Course provide the perfect surface for superb shots and the bent grass greens will ensure a challenging and entertaining game. The course's dramatic views, breathtaking terrain and challenging layout inspires the golfer to play this course with a high level of respect and concentration. The 72 par layout is characterised by 7 majestic holes that line the Indian Ocean rock cliffs, 4 of which are played over ocean and cliffs.
